James Barr III
President and CEO
James Barr III is president and chief
executive officer (CEO) of TDS Telecom. During Barr’s 15-year
tenure as CEO, TDS Telecom’s revenues and income have more
than quintupled. Barr recently announced his intention to
retire at the end of 2006, and has appointed his
successor David Wittwer. He will remain a member
of the TDS Board of Directors upon his retirement.
Before being appointed to his present
position in 1990, Barr spent many years with AT&T. During
his tenure there, Barr held positions in engineering, planning,
regulatory, marketing and sales. His last position with
AT&T was as vice president of Sales for major accounts in
New York and New England.
Barr is a member of the TDS Telecom
board of directors and of the board of its parent company,
Telephone and Data Systems, Inc. He is also a director of
the National Rural Telecom Association, the United States
Telephone Association and the Center for Telecommunications
Management, an institute of the University of Southern California.
Additionally, Barr is a charter member of the Aspen Institute's
FOCAS (Forum on Communications and Society) Committee. He
serves on the board of the United Way of Dane County, Wisconsin,
an executive council member of the International Engineering
Consortium as well as a member of the Dean's Advisory Board
of the School of Business of the University of Wisconsin.
Barr has a Master of Business Administration
from the University of Chicago, as well as an engineering
degree from Iowa State University.

Dave Wittwer Chief Operating Officer; CEO (2007)
David Wittwer represents TDS Telecom as Chief
Operating Officer and has been appointed to succeed current
President, Jim Barr as CEO in 2007.
He previously served for eight years as
president of Staff Operations and chief financial officer.
He became chief financial officer in 1997. In 1995, he assumed
the position of vice president of Finance; in 1992, controller;
and in 1990 was accounting manager for the company’s Pacific
division. He joined TDS Telecom in 1983 as an internal auditor.
During his 22 years with the company,
Wittwer has been integrally involved in several key projects
for the company. Among these include assisting the company
with presentations to the investment community during the
proposed equity carve-out of TDS Telecom in 1998, and preparing
the company for the transition to changes in regulatory
accounting rules for telephone companies in 1985.
A certified public accountant, Wittwer
holds a Master of Business Administration in Management
and Quality from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and
a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of
Wisconsin-Whitewater.

James W. Butman
Group President – Marketing, Sales & Customer Operations
Jim Butman represents TDS Telecom
as group president of Sales, Marketing and Customer Operations.
Previously, Butman was president of
TDS Metrocom, TDS Telecom's Competitive Local Exchange
Carrier (CLEC) for nine years. Prior to his appointment
to that position in May of 1997, Butman was president
of TDS Telecom's long distance operation in Minnesota
and North Dakota formerly known as USLink.
Butman joined TDS Telecom in 1985,
where he has held several positions in state and federal
regulatory affairs and product management. Prior to his
time at TDS Telecom, he held various financial positions
with GTE. He has a total of 26 years of telecommunications
experience in the local exchange, long distance and competitive
local exchange segments of the telecom industry.
Butman is on the Board of Directors for COMPTEL,
the competitive local telecom industry's national association.
He holds a Master of Business Administration from the
University of Wisconsin Madison and is a certified
management accountant.

Lisa Cvengros
Executive Vice President – Technology and Service Delivery, CTO
Lisa Cvengros represents TDS Telecom as the executive vice president
of Technology and Service Delivery & Chief Technology Officer.
Cvengros joined TDS Telecom in 1997 as the director of Network Management
and was appointed to vice president of Network Services in October 1999.
She took on her current position in April 2006
Priorto Joining TDS Telecom Cvengros spent over 10 years with Ameritech
in a variety of positions. Her last role at Ameritech was as director of Wisconsin Field Operations,
which included a team of 300 employees across the state of
Wisconsin that cared for all central office, hi-capacity and video services.
Cvengros has a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
from Marquette University and a Masters in Business Administration from the
University of Wisconsin - Whitewater.

Kevin Hess Senior Vice President - Government and Regulatory Affairs
Kevin Hess serves TDS Telecom
as senior vice president - Government and Regulatory Affairs
In his position, Hess works closely
with industry organizations and meets frequently with
regulatory bodies, members of Congress and state
legislatures representing the interests of TDS Telecom
in regulatory, legislative, judicial, industry
and public affairs matters.
Hess joined TDS Telecom in 1984,
and prior to his current role, had held a number of
different positions within the Government and
Regulatory Affairs group. Most recently, Hess was
the Vice President of Federal Affairs.
Prior to joining TDS Telecom,
Kevin spent eight years at a regional accounting
and consulting firm which specializes in providing
local exchange carriers with audit, accounting,
tax and regulatory expertise.
Hess currently serves on the
Board of Directors of the Universal Service Administrative
Company (USAC), and chairs the High Cost Low Income
Committee of the Board. He is a certified public accountant,
a graduate of the University of Wisconsin - Madison
and has an MBA from the University of Tennessee.

Mike Pandow
Senior Vice President - Human Resources and Administration.
Mike Pandow reperesents TDS Telecom as Senior
Vice President of Human Resources and Administration.
In this role, he leads an array of administrative services,
including new company transition, procurement, staffing
and recruiting, safety and labor relations, compensation
management, employee relations training and development,
and employee communications. Pandow is also responsible
for driving process improvement initiatives throughout
the organization.
Pandow joined TDS Telecom in 1982,
following four years with GTE. In his tenure with
TDS Telecom he has held various management positions
in the regulatory affairs and marketing areas.
He also served as a district manager in Wisconsin
prior to being named vice president of the Mid-Central
Division in April 1995. In July of 1995, he was named
vice president of the Eastern Region, and in 1999,
he was named vice president of Customer Operations.
Pandow has an undergraduate
degree in Business Law and a Master of Business
Administration in Finance from the University
of Wisconsin-Whitewater

Bill Megan
Senior Vice President - Finance, Strategic Planning & CFO
Bill Megan serves as TDS
Telecom's Senior Vice President - Finance &
Chief Financial Officer
Megan first joined TDS Telecom
in 1989 and has worked in Customer Service, Marketing,
and Planning & Business Development.
Following seven years in the New York office of
PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he was a management
consultant focused on strategy and finance,
Megan re-joined TDS Telecom in 2001
Megan, a chartered financial analyst,
has a Master of Business Administration from Cornell University
and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University
of Wisconsin-Madison.
